CROWD ANALYTICS: DETEKSI VISUAL GOOGLE STREET VIEW SEBAGAI PROKSI AKTIVITAS EKONOMI PASAR TRADISIONAL

Pasar tradisional masih memegang peran penting dalam perekonomian perkotaan di Indonesia, terutama sebagai pusat perdagangan kecil dan menengah yang menopang aktivitas masyarakat. Namun, dinamika kepadatan keramaian pasar kerap menimbulkan persoalan terkait kenyamanan, aksesibilitas, dan daya saing dengan pasar modern. Di sisi lain, tingkat keramaian dapat mencerminkan intensitas aktivitas ekonomi yang berlangsung. Penelitian ini mengembangkan pendekatan crowd analytics untuk mengukur Indeks Dinamika Keramaian (IDK) pasar tradisional dengan memanfaatkan deteksi visual berbasis citra Google Street View (GSV). IDK yang mencerminkan intensitas aktivitas manusia dan mobilitas ini berfungsi sebagai indikator alternatif yang relevan untuk memantau dinamika pasar dan memproksi pola pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Sembilan pasar utama di Kota Tangerang dianalisis dalam periode 2016–2024 dengan metode penghitungan IDK yang didasarkan pada jumlah pejalan kaki, kendaraan, serta perubahan kondisi visual pasar dari waktu ke waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tren kenaikan IDK di seluruh pasar tradisional sepanjang periode, meskipun laju kenaikan melambat pada tahun 2024 yang dapat merefleksikan pergeseran sebagian aktivitas belanja masyarakat ke platform daring. Pasar Saraswati dan Pasar Lama secara konsisten menempati posisi tertinggi, mencerminkan peran penting keduanya sebagai pusat perdagangan sekaligus destinasi kuliner. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa crowd analytics berbasis GSV dapat digunakan sebagai indikator alternatif untuk memantau dinamika pasar tradisional sekaligus menilai kontribusi sektor pedagang kecil terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract
Traditional markets still play an important role in Indonesia's urban economy , particularly as centers of small and medium-scale trade that support community activities. However, the dynamics of crowd density in markets often raise issues related to comfort, accessibility, and competitiveness with modern retail. At the same time, crowd levels can reflect the intensity of ongoing economic activities. This study develops a crowd analytics approach to measure the Crowd Dynamics Index (CDI/IDK) of traditional markets by utilizing visual detection based on Google Street View (GSV) imagery. The CDI, which reflects the intensity of human activity and mobility, serves as a relevant alternative indicator for monitoring
market dynamics and proxying local economic growth patterns. Nine major markets in Tangerang City were analyzed over the 2016–2024 period, with CDI calculated from the number of pedestrians, vehicles, and changes in market visual conditions over time. The results indicate an upward trend in CDI across all traditional markets throughout the period, although the growth rate slowed in 2024, which may reflect a shift of some consumer activity toward online shopping platforms. Saraswati Market and Lama Market consistently ranked highest, underscoring their role as important centers of trade as well as culinary destinations. These findings highlight that GSV-based crowd analytics can serve as an alternative indicator for monitoring traditional market dynamics and assessing the contribution of small-scale traders to local economic growth.
